Quick Q&A

If you could turn the clock back, would you do anything differently?

It’s really important to scope well in your game and ensure that you have clear goals and backups for if things go wrong.

We had a couple of personal emergencies in our team so it was really important for us to be able to compromise elements we didn’t have the power to complete and to keep our vision strong to ensure the most core features and selling points of our game were together.

Document as much as possible to ensure all members are on the same page about the highest priority areas, this will help you market too!

What made you want to take part in the competition?

Tranzfuser was the perfect way to kickstart the team onto some true indie development experience. We really wanted to use every opportunity to make our game, meet peers, and learn exactly what it takes day by day to create a successful studio.

Why should the up-and-coming game dev talent of tomorrow apply to Tranzfuser?

Tranzfuser is an experience that university fundamentally can’t teach you. It’s the theory of game design and business management applied in a real world scenario. If treated right, this could kickstart your team into a really successful studio with a commercial release under your belt right off the bat from graduation.

What benefits did Tranzfuser bring to your game dev career?

Tranzfuser was a wonderful experience immersing us into the industry and gave us all invaluable connections and experiences pitching and producing a commercial level demo with all the business trimmings. It’s a unique experience and a steep learning curve after University, but it is more than worth it to get stuck in at a professional level like this with lots of support behind you.

What are you doing now?

At the moment, our team are building up our experience with some personal projects, game jams and other practice so that when we feel ready to jump back into Sporox we can hit the ground running with a further breadth of knowledge.
