Tranzfuser Project Description
Will it golf? is a single-player golf sandbox that blends atypical golfing objectives with emergent play. To snatch the coveted title of master will-it-golfer, you’ll hone your skills and clear the course by whacking, smacking, blowing, and bashing your way through a variety of environments and fun challenges.
Quick Q&A
If you could turn the clock back, would you do anything differently?
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, 2020 was a year marked by cancellations and compromise. I was so impressed by how the organisers were able to adapt to the circumstances and continue to provide an incredible service to the participants. Everything was done virtually, and while the Protoplay showcase was no doubt an achievement in and of itself, it would have been nice to stand where the previous teams stood and fly our flag in person. It’s hard to let that go!
What made you want to take part in the competition?
When we saw the Tranzfuser booths at EGX 2019 we realised what a huge opportunity it could be for all of us. We talked to some of the 2019 teams about their experience throughout the competition and were impressed by the variety and creativity of the games on display. It just made total sense for us to give it a shot. What better way is there to hit the ground running after university?

What benefits did Tranzfuser bring to your game dev career?
Tranzfuser gave us the structure and support that we needed to take our game-making to the next level. It was exhilarating to be selected to take part, and as envoys of the weird and wonderful, maybe we felt that we had something to prove. The money, the mentorship, and the learning-driven approach all came together to create an ideal environment for professional growth.
What are you doing now?
As 2020’s competition winners, we now have the means to finish what we started and deliver an excellent product to market. We’ve teamed up with Hatchapon creators Monkey Hat Games (another Tranzfuser participant), to ensure that we have the personpower to get everything done. Things are going well! We’re on track for a full release in Q2 of 2021 and we’re excited to see what happens next. Unconfirmed speculation points to a possible collaboration with Bermuda Studios happening in the future. Did somebody say Crab Tanks?
