Studio Yam

Studio Yam is made-up of a team of graduates from Manchester Metropolitan University passionate about making fun games. We aim to push ourselves and have not only a small, sustainable studio by the end of Tranzfuser, but a finished product that we can all be proud of.

About the project

Veggie Village is a hybrid farming-social simulation-RPG wherein the player grows friends to build a happy and healthy village. The player must juggle tending to resources and rich character storylines in order to sustain the village.

Veggie Village will be a cross-platform, single player experience for fans of similar titles such as ‘Stardew Valley’ and ‘Animal Crossing.’ The draw of Veggie Village is its robust NPC personality system and it’s playful sense of humour. All veggies grown have their own unique personalities and needs, of which the player can choose to neglect or serve.

Through their in-game actions, the player directly impacts the heath of both their villagers and their village. Players ultimately decide whether they rule with an iron fist-or develop a utopia.
