Tranzfuser Project Description

Quick Q&A
If you could turn the clock back, would you do anything differently?
I would have put more money into polishing our demo rather than spending on merchandise (for EGX) and hardware. Our game did not have the art style revamped in time for EGX, though it was something we pitched to change. Art is a huge selling point and having a stylised game would have really helped during our pitches.
What made you want to take part in the competition?
Our hub, Brunel University London, was a huge advocate of the program and felt we had a strong chance of success. Our lecturers saw the potential in Project Grove with it’s novel mechanics and felt our team had what it took to go the distance. They explained to us what a great launchpad Tranzfuser could be and they were absolutely correct!
Why should the up-and-coming game dev talent of tomorrow apply to Tranzfuser 2021?
If you want to know what it’s like to be a studio or make an independent title, I would strongly advise you to jump at this opportunity. We picked up so many great lessons during our journey through Tranzfuser which have aided us throughout our last two years in business as an indie studio.
What benefits did Tranzfuser bring to your game dev career?
We prototyped Project Grove over our last year at University and with Tranzfuser’s grant we polished it further, by hiring voice actors and 3D artists. Tranzfuser gave us a great foot into the games industry, especially through pitch sessions and talks with industry professionals.
What are you doing now?
Two years on, Project Grove has been successfully crowdfunded via Kickstarter gaining over £30,000 and backed by over 400 fans. We’re working towards an August 2020 release date and we can’t wait to get Project Grove out there!
