Quick Q&A
Overall, I’m content with the decisions we made, as they led us to our current success. Taking the demo to the expo garnered a fantastic reception for the game, with plenty of helpful feedback and support.
However, if I had to pinpoint one area for improvement, it would be having a clearer scope for the project from the outset. This would have allowed us to maintain focus and ultimately produce a more cohesive and well-defined product.
The team has always been passionate about game development, and saw the Tranzfuser program as a unique opportunity to turn our ideas into a successful business.
The funding, mentoring, and support provided by the program would give us the resources we needed to create a polished prototype of our game, and the chance to showcase our work to industry experts and potential investors was incredibly exciting.
The Tranzfuser program offers an excellent opportunity to kick-start your career in the games industry. Whether you’ve been considering creating your own studio for a while or simply want to gain experience and determine if it’s the right path for you, this program provides a valuable boost in the right direction.
It offers a safe, fun, and collaborative environment that will assist you in realising your dream of starting your own studio.
Participating in the Tranzfuser program was an invaluable learning experience and helped the entire team take their first steps towards a career in the game development industry.
The support Tranzfuser provided was able to point us in the right direction when it came to setting up our studio and got us to think about how to develop our idea and our studio further.
Since coming out of the Tranzfuser program we took a brief step back from development on Dutch as an opportunity came up to create a small scale game and have it published, which we jumped onto. This led us to create Felling, a 2.5 side scrolling puzzle platformer.
The team is now undertaking work for hire projects to help support the development of our other projects.
With this success we have been able to expand our team and recently move into our own office. While the majority of our team is still working remotely, having a dedicated office space has allowed us to work more collaboratively and contribute to the bustling north east cluster of game development.
Finally, we are in talks with publishers to fund further the development and release of Dutch Maximus which is a significant step forward for both the project and the team as this will provide the necessary financial resources and marketing support to bring the game to a wider audience.
