Project Name: Grav Riders

Player Type: Single Player

Target Platform: Desktops / Laptops

Local Hub: Manchester Metropolitan University

Socials:

Peachbread are a small team of multi-skilled developers primarily based in Manchester with prior experience working together on university projects and game jams, and our aim in joining the Tranzfuser programme is to use and develop our talents to build a professional indie development studio.

As a team we enjoy playing with unique ideas and exploring ways to keep players consistently engaged with novel twists on the core gameplay loop. We hope receiving feedback and support from Tranzfuser in business, marketing and demoing at events will elevate both our standard of work and our visibility in the industry, helping us to become financially viable and continue building games for an audience in the long run.

About the project

GravRiders is a fast-paced, score-chasing hoverboard racer set in a vibrant and stylish neon future where you can ride along any surface you can see. The core mechanic is the ability to freely realign gravity and leap between different surfaces, opening up vast possibilities for traversing any level.

The player is always moving forwards, and must rely on fast reflexes or careful planning over multiple runs to find the best path and blaze through it using a variety of movement abilities that reward skill and timing. Players will face off against an evil corporation in an anime-inspired story featuring a fun cast of friends, foes and rivals to race against, alongside other players competing to set the fastest times on the global leaderboards.

Tranzfuser means a lot to us as a team who've always been really interested in entering the indie game space, but are lacking the entrepreneurial skills needed to set ourselves up for the best chance of success. We aren't an established games company yet, and we see the resources that the Tranzfuser programme provides as an incredible opportunity for us to level up both as a business and as creatives. We plan to give it our all and really get the most that we can out of this summer!
