We are a team of recently graduated games students from the University of Bradford, based in Yorkshire but proudly multicultural with team members hailing from Ukraine, Poland, Nepal, Bosnia, India, and England. We’re united by a shared passion for games: creating, playing, and celebrating their stories. Our goal is to create something personal, meaningful, and heartwarming. With our game, Tales of Domovoi, we aim to spotlight and celebrate Slavic folklore; a cultural heritage that, while somewhat present in the Western games industry, remains largely underrepresented.
We want to introduce players to not only well-known myths but also to lesser-known creatures and stories. As a young team stepping into the games industry, Tranzfuser offers a platform to not only bring our project to life but also to gain experience in professional development. Throughout the programme, we hope to strengthen our existing skills, learn new ones, and grow together as a team.
About the project
Tales of Domovoi is a story-rich adventure RPG set in a charming 3D pixel-art world rooted in Slavic folklore. Join Domovoi, a quirky house spirit with a big heart as he embarks on a magical quest to seal away the ancient darkness of Chernobog. Along the way, you’ll forge peculiar relationships with mythical gods, face whimsical enemies in classic turn-based battles, and uncover the secrets of a forgotten world. Traverse enchanting environments brimming with wonder, danger, and lore. Dive into our interactive bestiary to learn the rich tales behind the monsters you meet, inspired directly by Slavic legends.
In Tales of Domovoi, every choice you make matters. Shape your own adventure through non-linear dialogue that brings a quirky cast of characters to life. Tranzfuser offers us a unique opportunity to experience working in a professional game development setting while managing our project independently. It gives us invaluable insight into the full process behind creating a game. As recent graduates and junior developers/ artists, Tranzfuser helps bridge the challenging gap between education and industry, especially in today’s competitive job market where gaining real-world experience in game development is increasingly difficult.
