Comments: Hello there! We are looking for a freelance graduate programmer to rebuild the character controller for our Mario-inspired platformer game set in a fantastical world based on Ancient Mesopotamia and Iraq. We are currently employing a character controller that revolves around a custom collision system that we have realised is inefficient. We desire a programmer to create a new character controller that retains the mechanics and behaviours, but is built around Unreal Engine’s standard collision system. As we are working in Unreal, C++ knowledge is a necessity. In addition, the chosen programmer will be tasked with introducing a number of new features, improving the code of some pre-existing features, and resolving some bug issues that will all work towards polishing the game. There will be a brief provided to the programmer detailing each of these tasks. Though they will be a member of a team, the chosen applicant will be the sole programmer on this task, and so must be capable of self-motivating and working independently. Applicants must be able to start work on June 21st. Preferably they will be able to complete the work by July 31st, but this date is flexible. We look forward to hearing from you.
