Tranzfuser 2025 Winners Announced

Four graduate studios awarded UK Games Fund support with DunDev 2026 studios also revealed.

Tranzfuser 2025 has officially wrapped, and we’re excited to announce this year’s winning studios! These talented teams will receive UK Games Fund Prototype Fund grant support to help bring their games closer to commercial launch.

With games ranging from musical metroidvania adventures to high-octane boomer shooters, Tranzfuser 2025 saw over 60 graduate game dev teams from across the UK apply to join the fast-track route to own-IP studio establishment and growth.

Over the summer, 21 graduate teams worked across 13 Local Hubs on their games with the structured support of the bespoke Tranzfuser programme.

New to 2025, the Tranzfuser teams were offered the chance to attend Develop: Brighton, DICE Dundee, EGX and – of course – our unique public showcase event ProtoPlay.
Deborah Farley, Head of Foundership Development, said:

“As we approach the 10-year anniversary of Tranzfuser, the 2025 programme has been a fantastic success for the teams involved. We’ve seen all 21 talented teams go from strength to strength over the summer as they embraced the opportunities Tranzfuser offers.

“Thanks to the invaluable support of our engaged community of companies from the UK Games Fund, along with the support of the exclusive network of Local Hubs, the Tranzfuser 2025 teams all had the unrivalled experience of supported entrepreneurial growth. We’re thrilled to share news of the four studios that have secured UK Games Fund support and we look forward to working with them as fully fledged Prototype Fund companies!”

The Entrepreneurial Journey

Tranzfuser seeks teams and individuals hungry to learn what it takes to develop, launch, and sustain a commercial game and development studio.

Over the summer, the teams were all enrolled in what is a bespoke programme of entrepreneurial development; the Games Biz Academy, Tranzfuser’s curated suite of learning resources and materials, sees the teams benefit from expert-led modular learning opportunities, along with each team having a hand-picked, engaged industry mentor.

The programme lasts just three months, and participants are expected to be self-starters, ready to meet tight deadlines, embrace challenges, and focus on both game development and business growth. The winning teams demonstrated incredible resilience, tenacity, and adaptability, learning new skills and experimenting with new approaches to meet programme goals.

DunDev Studios Announced

At the same time, the DunDev 2026 studios have been confirmed, ready to take their first steps on the entrepreneurial journey at the residential hothousing programme in the new year.

Looking Ahead

As we approach Tranzfuser’s 10th anniversary in 2026, we celebrate hundreds of graduate studios who have taken part since the programme began. From early prototypes to commercial releases, these teams embody the spirit of innovation, resilience, and ambition at the heart of Tranzfuser.

We can’t wait to see what the future holds!
