ProtoPlay x Digital Schoolhouse
As part of this year’s ProtoPlay showcase in the heart of Dundee next month, Ukie’s Digital Schoolhouse team are partnering with the Tranzfuser organising team to bring Video Game Remix to the game-playing audiences!
Digital Schoolhouse is a not-for-profit transforming computing education through play.

As part of the two-day indie games festival next month, Digital Schoolhouse will run interactive workshops at ProtoPlay, the Video Game Remix. These ticketed sessions introduce children to the creative building blocks of a video game, with expert guidance to support participants through the stages of developing a video game idea through to a non-competitive ‘pitch’ process. An engaged and supportive panel of industry professionals will work with participants as they take their initial concept through to thinking about how to turn that dream into a reality.
The Video Game Remix session is a free, family-friendly workshop. Engaged and enthusiastic children are encouraged to attend!*
Deborah Farley, Head of Foundership Development at Tranzfuser, said:
“ProtoPlay is delighted to partner with Ukie’s Digital Schoolhouse team to bring the Video Game Remix workshop to the showcase event. As an early introduction to some of the concepts covered by Tranzfuser (including game ideation and pitching), participants will be encouraged to reflect on the games they play at ProtoPlay – helping the next generation of game developers sow the seeds of potential career pathways. To run this in Dundee, with the city’s cultural and historical ties to the legacy of video games, is a real honour!”
ProtoPlay runs 19th – 20th September at LiveHouse Dundee.
