ProtoPlay: Details Announced
ProtoPlay, our annual showcase event for Tranzfuser teams, is returning to Dundee in September at an exciting new central venue.
This year’s Tranzfuser teams will travel to Scotland’s Unesco City of Design for ProtoPlay. With the legacy of the city’s exports (notably Lemmings and Grand Theft Auto) Scotland’s official City of Design is the perfect home for ProtoPlay 2025.
ProtoPlay will see games on show from all 21 Tranzfuser teams, with the game playing public having the opportunity to test their skills on projects ranging from cosy craft builders to farm-themed roguelike chess games.
ProtoPlay will be open to the public Friday 19th – Saturday 20th September.
Taking place in central Dundee, the new venue for ProtoPlay is Scotland’s newest and soon-to-be largest versatile event spaces – LiveHouse Dundee. This iconic location will be the stage for the most exciting ProtoPlay yet! Think video games, activities, meeting the professionals and even an exclusive cinema screening…
ProtoPlay is of course a huge showcasing opportunity for our Tranzfuser teams, but the event also serves as an important milestone in their journey to sustainable studio survival and community development. Before we open the doors to the public, the teams will sit down with industry professionals to practice their pitching skills.
Each team will have the chance to sharpen their skills in perfecting their elevator pitch with a selection of hand-picked video game development experts with dedicated time with a varied array of voices from across the sector sharing highly sought advice and insights.
Deborah Farley from Tranzfuser said:
“Tranzfuser 2025 is our tenth year of running the competition, and the opportunity to bring the highly promising graduate game dev teams from across the UK to Dundee is one we could not miss! Our new home at LiveHouse Dundee is a huge draw in and of itself to our audience, the cherry on the top will of course be the amazing array of games available to enjoy!”
Tickets for ProtoPlay are available now. Take up is expected to be high with interested parties already contacting us. Early booking will be essential!
